Are you an experienced Risk Manager looking to drive the success of one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure programmes? We’re looking for a dynamic professional to join a major transportation project that will leave a lasting impact on the UK’s infrastructure.
In this role, you’ll play a critical part in shaping risk strategies, providing vital analysis, and ensuring project teams have the insights they need to make informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Risk Management: Implement both qualitative and quantitative risk management practices to guide project decision-making.
- Facilitate Risk Workshops: Conduct risk identification sessions, manage and maintain risk registers, and ensure they are aligned with project objectives.
- Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA): Conduct QRA using tools such as @Risk or Primavera Risk Analysis, providing valuable insights into potential project risks.
- Reporting & Dashboards: Use tools like Power BI to create clear, actionable risk reports, dashboards, and scenario analysis to communicate risk status effectively.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work alongside project controls, planning, and commercial teams to manage risks across all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure all risk management processes align with structured governance frameworks and NEC contract requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Significant experience in risk management, ideally within large-scale infrastructure or transportation projects.
- Skills: Expertise in Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA), Monte Carlo simulations, cost/schedule risk analysis, and a deep understanding of risk management tools (e.g., ARM, @Risk, Primavera Risk).
- Communication: Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers.
- Approach: A data-driven, proactive, and collaborative approach to risk management, focused on continuous improvement and delivering real results.
- Education: A background in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is beneficial, but practical experience will take priority.
